Assisted Learning Session in Research Methodology: The Research Question
On September 22, 2025, a three-hour Assisted Learning Session was held as part of the Research Methodology Day: The Research Question, organized in collaboration with the Honduran Medical College, the Honduran Medical Journal, Hospital Escuela, the Institute of Infectious Diseases and Parasitology Antonio Vidal, and The Global Health Network Latin America and the Caribbean (TGHN LAC), through the Zoom platform of the Honduran Medical College. Participants registered for the event after creating an account on the TGHN LAC platform and completing the online course “The Research Question,” submitting their certificate to finalize their registration (See announcement with the invitation).
The day began with opening remarks and introductions, outlining the objectives of the activity and the program structure. Panelists were introduced, followed by the Assisted Learning Session on formulating research questions, addressing quantitative (observational and experimental) and qualitative studies.
The program continued with content aimed at strengthening the health researcher profile, including the use of ORCID as a unique identifier, the use of Google Scholar to enhance academic visibility, and the presentation of the Professional Development Framework as a guide for career progression in research.
Additionally, spaces for scientific dissemination were discussed, such as the National Medical Congress and the Honduran Medical Journal, as platforms for sharing research findings with the academic and professional community.

The session was officially opened by Dr. Tirzo Godoy, Secretary of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the Honduran Medical College and President of the National Center for Continuing Education (CENEMEC) of the Honduran Medical College.
