The use of data to discover patterns, predict behaviours and generate knowledge is widely discussed and adopted as we face diverse and complex scenarios. The health sciences field has also converged on the use of technologies to create scientific knowledge. It is essential to explore the practical use of data science tools to support the development of health research.
REDCap REDCap is the acronym for RESEARCH ELECTRONIC DATA CAPTURE, a user-friendly digital platform for collecting, managing, and transferring research data to other sharing systems, such as research data repositories, for sharing and digital preservation. It can be used in different types of research and to meet the demands of services and care.
To broaden discussions and share experiences with REDCap, on Thursday (12/14/2023), Fiocruz researchers met at the webinar The use of REDCap beyond typical surveys and databases: Efficiency in research. Through Fiocruz's hub, in partnership with The Global Health Network, the event took place on the Zoom platform, at 10am (Brasília) and 1pm (London) and had simultaneous translation into English and Spanish.
