The Center for Implementation and Innovation in Health Policies (CIIPS), invites you to participate in the Webinar and provide ideas on how to rethink the architecture of global health and propose lines of reform in this new scenario.

Global health is facing major challenges in its financing and governance as a result of the significant changes that are being experienced in recent times. However, this situation also offers a unique opportunity to analyze the current system and replant how it can meet the needs of a world in constant evolution.

This dialogue is part of a consultation process driven by Wellcome Trust to rethink and reform global health architecture and coordinated in the region by Tecnológico de Monterrey (México), Instituto de Efectividad Clínica y Sanitaria (IECS) (Argentina), The University of the West Indies (Jamaica) and the Universidad Mayor (Chile).

Preliminary results from more than 40 interviews with experts from across Latin America and the Caribbean on reform ideas were presented. Opening a dialogue to reflect on the following questions:

What are the main challenges of the current global health architecture?
What should be the functions of a reinvented, more efficient, effective and equitable global health architecture?
How should we mobilize, prioritize, differentiate and deliver international health financing as part of this new architecture?
What key reforms are needed to achieve this evolution, which must be led and how can geopolitical and macroeconomic trends influence their implementation?
What can our region contribute to the dialogue on global health?
