The Global Health Network Latinoamérica y el Caribe: primer año fortaleciendo capacidades en investigación sanitaria
En noviembre de 2024 se cumplió el primer año del Proyecto The Global Health Network Latinoamérica y el Caribe (TGHN LAC): Crear equidad en la investigación sanitaria conectando la excelencia y compartiendo conocimientos (https://lac.tghn.org/).
Para conmemorar ese primer año de actividades un editorial en el número 2 del año 2024 de la Revista Médica Hondureña (Rev Méd Hondur), hace el recuento de este proyecto patrocinado por Wellcome Trust y que se impulsa a través de un consorcio regional, basado en la web para la movilización del conocimiento, que incluye instituciones de seis países latinoamericanos (Argentina, Brasil, Colombia, Honduras, Perú, República Dominicana, https://lac.tghn.org/centros-en-paises/), y la Universidad de Oxford, Reino Unido (https://tghn.org/).
El proyecto aborda las enfermedades infecciosas emergentes y reemergentes y tiene un enfoque de Una Sola Salud (One Health). Ver mas detalles en el Editorial. CITA: Alger J. The Global Health Network Latin America and the Caribbean: first year strengthening capacities in health research
November 2024 marked the first year of The Global Health Network Latin America and the Caribbean Project (TGHN LAC): Creating equity in health research by connecting excellence and sharing knowledge (https://lac.tghn.org/).
To commemorate this first year of activities, an editorial in issue 2, 2024 of the Revista Médica Hondureña (Rev Méd Hondur), recounts this project sponsored by the Wellcome Trust and promoted through a regional, web-based consortium for knowledge mobilization, which includes institutions from six Latin American countries (Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Honduras, Peru, Dominican Republic, https://lac.tghn.org/centros-en-paises/), and the University of Oxford, United Kingdom (https://tghn.org/).
The project addresses emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases and has a One Health approach. See more details in the Editorial. CITE: Alger J.
