Building Capacity and Collaboration in Health Research: lessons from Pathfinder studies in Latin America and the Caribbean

Date & time: 11 December 2025 | 14:00 UTC

Health research faces challenges ranging from skills gaps to limitations in infrastructure, data management, and coordination between actors. To address these challenges and advance in a collaborative and innovative way, The Global Health Network Latin America and the Caribbean (TGHN LAC) has implemented Pathfinder studies. Pathfinder studies document processes, identify obstacles and solutions, strengthen local capacities, and promote networks that accelerate innovation in health research. More about Pathfinder: https://lac.tghn.org/proyectos-pathfinder/.

In this webinar, researchers will share the findings of Pathfinder studies and experiences of how these have been applied in epidemiological surveillance, clinical trials and community participation. The webinar also aims to encourage dialogue on how pathfinder studies can drive new practices, methodologies, and collaborations to transform health research in the region.
