Coordinating Centre: Centre for Global Health, Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia
 The Center for Global Health at UPCH, formed in 2009, encompasses, under the direction of Dr. Hugo García, a series of research initiatives aimed at improving the health of the population. Its units include the Center for Global Health in Tumbes, the Center of Excellence in Research in Chronic Diseases (CRONICAS), the Research Unit in Parasitic Diseases of the Central Nervous System, the Center for Clinical Studies, and others. The CSG has an annual output of over 40 publications in international indexed journals and manages approximately 20 research projects funded by the US National Institutes of Health, the Wellcome Trust in UK, and other international academic agencies.
