The Instituto de Enfermedades Infecciosas y Parasitologia Antonio Vidal (Antonio Vidal Institute of Infectious Diseases and Parasitology, IAV) is a private non-profit foundation. The IAV is committed to the development and promotion of research, training, and consultation activities on infectious diseases and parasitology, assisting government and university institutions in their healthcare, administrative, technical, and teaching functions, to contribute to clinical-epidemiological diagnosis, management, control, and prevention of these diseases and to improve the health of affected populations. Mission We are a private non-profit organization committed to the development and promotion of research, training and consulting activities on infectious diseases and parasitology, assisting government and university institutions in their care, administrative, technical, and teaching functions, to contribute to the clinical-epidemiological diagnosis, management, control and prevention of these diseases and to improve the health of the affected populations. Vision To become a reference Institute for research and training of human resources in surveillance, prevention, and control of infectious diseases and parasitology with national and international projection, whose activities are integrated into health actions that improve human health. |

She is also responsible for Interinstitutional Operations Unit at the Hospital Escuela, coordinating interinstitutional projects for the hospital development. She combines her clinical and patient tending duties with teaching, and research activities with different initiatives locally and regionally. She also participates in mentoring internal medicine fellows and professionals performing health research. She is also participating as co-investigator for Florida State University’s Global Health Consortium and its liaison in Honduras |

She is also member of the "Instituto de Enfermedades Infecciosas y Parasitologia Antonio Vidal" (IAV), a non-profit organization devoted to training, advising, and conducting research in the field of infectious diseases and parasitology. She also participates actively in the education on the diagnosis and management of infectious diseases of postgraduate program residents that rotate on regular basis in the Infectology Service, Hospital Escuela. |
